Greg Burr (New Art at Bandidas)
Our Fireweed Art Show has come down, but you can still find the digitized collection here. We’re incredibly grateful to all who submitted work for the Fireweed fundraiser.
Our walls were not bare for very long--we’ve got new art up! From February 20th until April 20th you’ll be able to view the gorgeous depictions of iconic BC landscapes done by Greg Burr.
The collection features a series of acrylic paintings all done with palette knives, and mostly completed plein air (open air, on the site of the subject matter). The pieces include close-up studies of trees as well as scenery from the Lower Mainland, Okanagan, Kootenays, and Peace River region. Most of the works are the result of several extended road trips Greg has taken through the province.
We’d love to have this work on our walls anytime, but it feels like a particularly good fit in the months leading up to Earth Day (April 22nd). We’re working out plans for another fundraiser on this day, and will do so while surrounded and inspired by Greg’s skillful representations of our province’s natural beauty.
Come on in and check out Greg’s work, and head to his website to learn a little more about him.
