Ronny Russel Tees!! (limited supply)

That’s right. Bandidas officially has merch! We’ve got 70 freshly printed t-shirts featuring our super cute, newly personified Ronny Russell Burrito, and they go on sale November 27th at 9am. Adult shirts cost $22.50 (XS, S, M & L available) and kid sizes (age 2 to 6) cost $17.50 (these prices include tax).

For each shirt sold, we will donate $5 to the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre, an organization offering essential emergency services to women and children in need. If it’s within your capacity, consider throwing a little extra money their way as we head into the holiday season.

The shirts are printed in Vancouver by Deetch Prints, and involve no sweat shops. These guys print a ton of Vancouver’s shirts, and they’re a dream to work with.

The t-shirt project was designed and led by Steph Gwynne, our long time kitchen employee who also spearheaded the new menu project back in February (fun fact: the Horace Lefty is named after her grandfather!). Steph is a devoted t-shirt collector, has studied fine art, and adores silk screening and printmaking, working mainly with lino and wood cuts. Her art tends to include more skewed perspective architecture, but with this image she plays with a more cartoon feel and tests her photoshop skills. We love her version of Runny Russell and can’t wait to see what designs she comes up with for future print projects.
