National Indigenous People’s Day 2022
National Indigenous People's Day is June 21st and to celebrate we're teaming up with @westcoastbannock to create some collaborative offerings for our community. We'll have our classic taco recipes as well as some delicious dessert options all on Richard's vegan bannock.
When we say these are too good, we're absolutely not kidding!
Our Kitchen Manager, Richard Mark, has worked alongside the crew of West Coast Bannock for the last four years; however, he is currently making moves to launch his own bannock endeavour under the name "The Bannock King". Having roots in the East Van community, Richard has been baking and selling bannock with his mother "The Bannock Queen" since early childhood.
If you haven't had the pleasure of trying one of these famous bannock tacos, June 21st is the day!
All profits of sales throughout the day will be donated directly to UNYA as well as The Aboriginal Mothers Centre Society - both amazing organizations doing impactful work for indigenous communities in BC.
